Principal
Paula Dowker lives in Rochester Hills, with her husband and 3 daughters. Paula has been a part of public education in Michigan since 1993. She taught in the Detroit Public School System and the Lake Orion School System. In 1998, Paula took her first leap into school administration as an assistant principal in the Atherton Schools near Flint. When her job was eliminated, Paula moved on to Kennedy Middle School in St. Clair Shores where she was principal for 3 years. Mrs. Dowker received her undergraduate degree at Eastern Michigan University and her Masters and Education Specialist Degree at Oakland University. Most recently, Paula has been working with elementary schools throughout the nation with the Ready Schools project. In addition, she spent the last 6 months as a principal leadership coach for Wayne RESA located in Wayne, Michigan supporting the High Priority Schools Initiative.
